Salute to Youth

The Midvale Arts Council presents Salute to Youth, a variety talent show for youth ages 18 and under. This event is part of the FREE Concert Series. Auditions will be held on Saturday September 14, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. at the Midvale Performing Arts Center 695 West Center Street (7720 South). Auditioners should register by emailing Stephanie@MidvaleArts.com by September 10. To register please send your name, age, telephone number and description of your talent. All performances must be family friendly, free of offensive language and content. Piano, CD player, and microphone are available for use, any other performance equipment and accompanist is the responsibility of the performer to provide. We are looking for a variety of performances from song, dance, art, theatrical, musical instrument, groups, individuals, or anyone with a unique talent to display. Residency in Midvale is not a requirement. 


The Salute to Youth performance will be Friday October 4, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at the Midvale Performing Arts Center 695 West Center Street (7720 South). Admission and participation are free of charge. Alice in Wonderland - Missoula Children's Theatre


Auditions will be held for the Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT) production of ALICE IN WONDERLAND Monday, September 16th at the Midvale Performing Arts Center, 695 West Center Street from 4 - 6 pm. Those auditioning should arrive at 4 pm and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.

Among the roles to be cast are three Alices of varying size, her sister Margaret, the Mad Hatter, the March Hare, the Queen of Hearts, the King of Hearts, the Knave of Hearts, the Cheshire Cats, Tweedledum and Tweedledee, the Flower Band, Cards and Lobsters. Students, grades K - 12, are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Assistant Directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.

The Missoula Children's Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup.  MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 4:00 - 8:30 pm each day.

ALICE IN WONDERLAND will be presented on Saturday, September 21st at the Midvale Performing Arts Center at 3 pm and 7:30 pm.
